About & Research

乳児の泣き声は，養育者にとって切実で，時には負担ともなる刺激です。 養育者がその泣き声にどう反応するのか，そしてその背後にどんなメカニズムがはたらいているのかを研究しています。 Infant crying is a signal that is urgent for caregivers and, at times, a burden. I study how caregivers respond to it, and what mechanisms lie behind those responses.

従来の養育研究の多くは，養育者の反応を「個人差」として固定的に捉えてきました。 私は，同じ養育者のなかで反応が時間とともに変わっていく個人内変動に着目し， その変化を生み出す心理的・神経的・遺伝的メカニズムを明らかにしようとしています。 対象とする時間の幅は，状況レベルの短期的な変化から，数か月・数年単位の長期的な変遷にまで及びます。 Much of the parenting literature treats caregivers' responses as a stable individual difference. I instead focus on within-individual variation — how the same caregiver's responses shift over time — and on the psychological, neural, and genetic mechanisms that produce that change. The timescales range from moment-to-moment situational shifts to trajectories spanning months and years.

こうした理解を通して，育児ストレス，産後うつ，絆感情の困難など，産後のウェルビーイング向上に，基礎研究の側から貢献することを目指しています。 Through this understanding, I aim to contribute from a basic-science perspective to postpartum well-being, including parenting stress, postpartum depression, and difficulties in bonding.

乳児の泣き声への反応Responding to infant cries

実験的に操作した状況が，泣き声への共感・行動・生理反応をどう調整するのかを，実験室実験で検討しています。Laboratory experiments examining how experimentally manipulated situations modulate empathy, behavior, and physiological responses to infant cries.

親になる過程の縦断的検討The transition to parenthood

泣きへの注意バイアスや信念が，産後どのように変化するかを追跡しています。Tracking how attentional bias and beliefs about infant crying change over the postpartum period.

養育の神経・遺伝基盤Neural and genetic bases

fMRI・脳形態計測やDNAメチル化解析などにより，泣き声処理に関わる脳・心理・遺伝の関連を検討しています。Examining links among brain, psychology, and genetics in the processing of infant cries, using fMRI, structural MRI, and DNA methylation analysis.

大規模縦断データを用いた検討Large-scale longitudinal cohorts

エコチル調査（JECS）やABCD Studyなどの大規模縦断データを用いた解析。親と子どもの双方向的な発達や，疫学的な検討に取り組んでいます。Analyses of large-scale longitudinal cohorts including the Japan Environment and Children's Study (JECS) and the ABCD Study, addressing bidirectional parent–child development and epidemiological questions.

Teaching

神戸女学院大学 心理学部にて，発達心理学や認知科学，ITに関する授業を担当しています。発達変化を見る視点と，データを分析し読み解く技術の両方を身につけてもらうことを重視しています。 At Kobe College I teach courses in developmental psychology, cognitive science, and information technology.
